Emmie sees cardiology cases at the client’s primary care vets, meaning there is no need for the additional logistics and costs of travel to a distant referral centre. As well as minimising stress and travel in potentially unstable cardiac patients, your clients and their pets can access referral level care in their familiar practice that they know and trust. 

 

Referring vets can also benefit from keeping the expertise ‘in-house’. Emmie strives to provide a friendly and supportive environment allowing for a more collaborative approach, enabling referring vets to take a more active role in the patient’s referral and provide them with multiple learning opportunities to improve their own cardiology skills along the way.

 

​Emmie carries the latest specialist equipment including a Colour Flow Doppler ultrasound machine appropriate for both full echocardiography (2D, M-mode, Colour Flow, Spectral and Tissue Doppler) and abdominal ultrasonography, a 6-lead ECG, an ambulatory ‘Holter’ ECG and a Doppler blood pressure monitor. Emmie provides all the required equipment, meaning work can continue as normal around bookings.
