Peripatetic Veterinary Cardiologist
Emmie can provide regular ‘Cardiology Clinics’ on a pre-arranged basis for ease of booking (e.g. once every 4 weeks) or ad hoc cases can be seen as necessary. Emmie will also provide cover for emergency and urgent cases wherever possible.
A ‘Cardiology Referral Package’ includes full echocardiography (an ultrasound examination of the heart), 6 lead electrocardiography (ECG recording) and a blood pressure measurement followed by a full consultation with the client to discuss the findings, treatment options and ongoing care requirements. There are many other options including an ‘echocardiography only’ option where Emmie comes in to perform ultrasonography and then hands back over to the primary care practitioner to handle everything else.
Other services and procedures can be provided if required, including radiography, blood sampling, abdominal ultrasonography, focused scans, ultrasound guided sampling, abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis and pericardiocentesis. ELVC provides a flexible service whatever your needs.

ELVC provides all required equipment, meaning work can continue as normal around bookings. However, an assistant, a quiet dark room, consultation table and power supply are required during diagnostic investigations.

Emmie also provides in house training and CPD to vets within their own practices allowing them to keep their cardiology knowledge up to date.
Emmie can provide a variety of seminars (e.g. Approach to the Cardiac Patient, ECGs: back to basics, The Foundations of MMVD/HCM/DCM, Cardiac Emergencies) and in-house practical echocardiography workshops with your own ultrasound machine.
